Biography

Ada Violet Poole was a dancer and vocalist.

Ada was the second daughter of Joseph Poole and his wife Susannah Mayer, born in 1875. Ada had three siblings Florence (b.1873), Minnie and Joseph Wolseley (‘Tubby’) (1878-1954). All of who went into the family business.

Ada started performing in the family’s Panorama shows from the age of four.

Ada married Percy Brunel Milsom, brother of her sister Florence’s husband Elver Clement Milsom and had a son Percy Joseph Poole Milsom (1902- 1981).

Ada and Percy settled on the Isle of Wight where they were involved in the management of various cinemas.

Also performed in Poole panorama at hall adjacent to Agricultural Hall, Islington, in May 1882.

Ada died in 1954 in the Isle of Wight.
