Biography
Lillian Maude (Lillie) Poole was a vocalist at her family Myrioramas and Panoramas, part of the variety acts they presented between shows to keep the audience entertained.
Lillian was born in Winchester in 1879 to Charles William Poole (1858-1918) and his first wife Elizabeth Deborah Nott but when her parents relationship broke up she was put under the care of her uncle Henry, who brought up.
Lillian had three siblings, brother Charles William (b.1880) and half-brothers John Reginald (‘Jack’) (1882-1950) and Vivan George (1893-1929). All the siblings went onto the family business Lillian performing as a vocalist, Vivan as a lecturer, Charles junior as a lecturer and manager and John Reginald also as a lecturer and manager, and later proprietor of his own Myriorama.
Lillian, like her brother Charles William Jr. appeared with the H. & F. Poole Myriorama in her early 20s.
In 1903 Lillian married Theo Bamberg aka Okito (1875-1963) who was a performer employed in the Poole Myriorama shows.
