Action Space Archive
The collection consists of material relating to the community arts company Action Space, later Action Space Mobile, including photographs, slides, posters, publicity, sound and video recordings.

Alf Lamb Collection
Four books of newspaper cuttings mainly from the World's Fair newspaper relating to fairs, traction engines and showland personalities. The scrapbooks include the series 'Traction Engine Snaps' written by 'Cyclist'.
Alfred Grey Collection
This collection contains black and white photographs and negatives of photographs taken by Alfred Grey at Joe’s bar novelty portrait studio and a small amount of related ephemera.
Alfred Plummer Travel Diaries
Handwritten diaries recording the travel experiences of the Reverend Alfred Plummer in Germany and England. The earlier diaries cover his visits to Germany and Austria in 1869 and 1889 and include some photographs and newspaper cuttings, while the later diaries document his travels in England between 1916 and 1919, notably in Shropshire, Hertfordshire and Devon. Again they include many newspaper cuttings and photographs, and also some of Plummer’s reflections on World War 1.
Allan Collection
A collection of documents, printed ephemera and artefacts relating to freemasonry, from Ian Cochrane Allan, member and officer of several masonic organisations in Cheshire during the mid-20th century. Includes minutes, correspondence, speeches, programmes, invoices, as well as some items of masonic regalia, as well as materials relating to Ian Cochrane Allan’s war service, and an account book for 1947 to 1948 kept by his wife Joan Allan.

Alma Skinner Collection
This collection contains digital scans of black and white photographs from Alma and Skid Skinner, Wall of Death riders, highlighting their travels mainly in Norway and Sweden and featuring other acts of that era. Also scans of the Crown Prince of Sweden opening their show in 1936 and staff working at Butlins, Skegness.
Amy Goodwin Collection

Arthur Jones Collection

As well as containing a full bound set of 'Merry-Go-Round' journals and numerous books, letters and other journals. The collection includes various catalogues and notebooks documenting the use of traction engines on the fairground.
