Barry Hines' 'Billy's Last Stand' was first broadcast as a radio play on the BBC in 1965. Hines then adapted it as a theatre production and it was performed in Bolton and the Royal Court in 1970. It was later adapted for television as a 'Play for Today', broadcast on 4 February 1971.
