Scope and Contents Contains a photocopy handwritten 'Revised Order of Scenes' (389/1/ATS/1/1); a typed draft copy of the script of 'After the Strike' (389/1/ATS/1/2); and a handwritten note [written by Eleanor Mulvey] stating 'Neither of us have any memory of Barry writing this, although I do remember him recounting the anecdotes in the story. I feel that the 90 page version is the later. They are very different. Also have vague memory of "the powers that be" not being interested in the strike any more.'...

Barry Hines' 'Billy's Last Stand' was first broadcast as a radio play on the BBC in 1965. Hines then adapted it as a theatre production and it was performed in Bolton and the Royal Court in 1970. It was later adapted for television as a 'Play for Today', broadcast on 4 February 1971.
