Scope and Contents
Barry Hines' first novel, 'The Blinder', was first published by Martin Joseph in 1966. The novel was based on Hines' diploma year dissertation at Loughborough University, entitled 'Flight of the Hawk' (1964), which tells the story of a young gifted footballer, Lennie Hawk.
