The play 'After the Strike' written by Barry Hines depicts police violence against striking miners at the Battle of Orgreave in 1984. Written in 1985, it was deemed too controversial to be broadcast or performed, but was eventually staged in 2019 at Kelham Island Museum in Sheffield.
