Folder containing work by participants of the Arvon Foundation’s residential courses in the summer of 1983 when Roy Fisher tutored at Lumb Bank. Together with information on the weekend courses at Belstead House, Ipswich, where Roy Fisher ran the course ‘Writing Poetry’ in May, 1983. Also contains a typescript poem by Roy Fisher, ‘Drafts Towards an Alphabet’, and pamphlet 'A conversation with Ted Hughes about The Arvon Foundation'. Includes correspondence from: David Pease; Michael Mackenzie; Graham Fawcett; Julia Wheadon; John Young; Nick Stimson; Louise Hudson; Maura Dooley and David Hunter. An A4 leaf from Gerry Loose an Larry Butler advertising the new Kilmackerin Centre in Co. Kerry is included, as is information for a community writing weekend at WEA & Fircroft College, dated 1988.
