Scope and Contents This diary was kept by W.H. Hatfield in March 1943 during the visit to America of the British Metallurgical Mission of which he was part. It records the details of Hatfield's trip including meetings between British, American and Canadian metallurgists and advisors regarding war-time production of steel.
