Victoria Florence Sanger as Child, c1880 - 1899
Studio photograph of a child. Victoria Florence Sanger written in ink on the bottom of the photograph. Victoria Florence Sanger was born in 1895 and was the daughter of George Sanger (grandson of the original 'Lord' John Sanger) and Georgina Coleman. Victoria went on to have an accomplished career as circus performer as an equestrienne and with performing animals. At one time she was known as the 'Queen of the Elephants'. She married Jimmy Freeman (Pimpo the Clown). Victoria died in 1991.
