Malcolm Airey Circus and Theatre Collection
This collection contains a large number of books, programmes, photographs, research and related notebooks as well as correspondence. Many programmes contain inserts of tickets, notes from Malcolm Airey and other inserts. Amongst others the collection contains examples from the Bertram Mills Circus, Blackpool Tower Ballroom and Billy Smart's circus. There are also technical plans and drawings

This collection contains research material, business records, grant applications, project planning documents, contracts, programmes, posters, handbills, newpaper cuttings and other records relating to Marisa Carnesky's career as a showwoman. The records comprise the production and travelling of Marisa's shows including Carnesky's Ghost train, SmutFest, Jewess Tattoess, Dragon Ladies, Chamber of Horrors, Dystopia, Magic War, The Incredible Bleeding Woman and Tarot Drome.

Mary Gell Documents
Documents relating to the career and life in China during the period 1930-1945 of Mary Prowse Gell, hospital doctor and lecturer in medicine. The collection consists of a small number of documents relating to Dr Gell's career in China, during which she experienced the Japanese invasion of that country and was subsequently interned there by the Japanese during World War II. The documents consist largely of contemporary letters and her own eyewitness accounts.

Michael Hides Archive
Papers of Michael Hides (J.D.M. Hides 1926 - 2001) former editor of the Sheffield Morning Telegraph and Chief Sub-Editor of the Guardian newspaper. This collection includes personal and professional correspondences, other personal documents and ephemera, and photograph albums. Also included is a small amount of material relating to his wife, the travel writer, Margaret Hides, including postcards and film reels from her travels.

A collection of pamphlets gathered by medical physicist Harold Miller, which relate to his interests in medical physics, the Methodist church, social justice, and world peace.

The collection consists of both the working, and personal papers, along with other documents, of medical physicist Professor Harold Miller.

The collection includes material compiled by Mary Anne Rawson, including scrapbooks, poetry and letters by and about James Montgomery, and material relating to the Sheffield Anti-Slavery movement and its members. There are also other manuscripts and illustrations of James Montgomery’s work in the collection.
