Scope and Contents A fashionably dressed woman sits in profile to the left, at an ornate table raised above the floor of the café, studying a pamphlet or menu on which is the word Paris. Her arm-chair is decorated with ornaments, the arm terminating in a ram’s head. Customers and waiters (left) are on a smaller scale.
