Correspondence received by Robert Saunders, following his release from prison where he had been interned under Defence Regulation 18B, and when he was in contact with other detainees and former local members of the British Union (BU). Accompanied by correspondence concerning the Wessex Book Club, and his involvement in the Union Movement.

Includes response to suggestion of “Dynamism” as name of new creed of UM (25 November and 17 December 1947) (219-220, with manuscript notes); intention to attend Book Clubs Gathering at Salisbury but needs to avoid incidents which might interfere with arguments in “The Alternative” (20 September 1947) (233); deferring attendance at Bournemouth Dinner due to working on “The Alternative” (1 January and 30 April 1947) (251, 270); acknowledgement of Christmas card (10 January 1947) (264).
