Scope and Contents

Cartoon drawn by Bill Tidy depicting Odean cinema Doncaster with a sign at the door which states: 'World Charity premier of 'Kes' in the absence of H. M. the Queen & HRH Prince Philip'. The caption reads: 'We enjoy our films, and on special occasions we turn up in droves to see who's not going to be there.' The cartoon was given to Sheila Lemon, Barry Hines' agent, who then gave it to Hines.
