Correspondence from poet Robert Lowell comprising one signed letter, followed by five sheets of poems. The poems were previously published in Imitations (1961), but are here rewritten since the publication: 'Recollections'; 'My Bohemia' (two versions); 'Cadet-Picture of Rilke's Father'; 'The Swan', Baudelaire, and 'Memoire'. All except 'Memoire' and 'Cadet-Picture' have manuscript corrections. 'My Bohemia' and 'Cadet-Picture' each have the published versions cut out and taped or glued to the sheets. 'My Bohemia': taped on published version titled 'On the Road', together with the French original. 'Cadet-Picture': published version titled, 'The Cadet Picture of My Father', together with the German original.
