Scope and Contents
This collection contains documents relating to fairgrounds collected by Tommy Green including photographs, paintings, manuscripts, correspondence, newspaper cuttings, cash books, programmes from Tydesley Wakes and plans of Bolton Fairs. Included in the collection are the Burrell photographs.

Biographical / Historical
Tommy Green is a showman and fairground researcher with a long tradition in the Lancashire Section of the Guild. He is a keen writer and produces regular articles for the fairground journals as well as producing a book on his family roots with the Mitchell family.
