Contains 35 files including correspondence, photographs (including original photographs taken by Birt Acres), guide booklets, national registration cards for Birt and Annie Elizabeth Acres, three letters from Queen Mary to Mrs Birt Acres, copies of Fred Talbot ‘Moving Pictures’ with foreword by Birt Acres, studies and lectures written by Tjitte de Vries, newspaper cuttings, Sidney Birt Acres Cinema Studies journal subscription, Birt Acres postal stamps, a copy of When the Movies Began booklet, a copy of Motion Picture Work book, a copy of Archaeology of the Cinema book, Who Invented Cinema? and 1895 Derby Publicity Report, photocopies of The Pioneer Work of Le Prince in Kinematography, Film and Chocolate, Birt Acres Filmography, Light and Movement, Pioneers of British Film and Portrait in Celluloid, a CD-R containing three photographs, copies of patents for Birt Acres’ inventions and family archives belonging to different members and some lose items. Original documents, copies of books and photographs, photocopies and transparencies.
