The Charles Taylor collection is a fine example of Taylor’s of Wombwell printers’ posters, which highlight changes in printing techniques, fashion and taste within the popular entertainment industry. Included are examples of posters for pantomimes, fairs and circuses. The collection also contains handbills and other advertising material.

Sheets of black and white contact prints showing behind the scenes images of fairground people and equipment, some are images of the prints in this collection and some are additional, some have images cut out.

The collection consists of documents, sound and video recordings and photographs relating to children’s games and songs, which have been created and assembled by Mavis Curtis in the course of her research. The majority of the material deals with research in schools in West Yorkshire, notably in the Keighley area, but there are also conference papers and fieldwork notes of more general scope.

This collection contains photographs taken by David Braithwaite from the 1950s and used towards his publications alongside older images collected from other sources as well as business records, monographs, articles, correspondence, newspaper cuttings, advertising material, bibliographies, catalogues, programmes, films and some other miscellaneous items.

This collection covers all the field work completed by the artist in preparing his book, as well as trips following the publication.

This collection contains a large selection of archives from the Orton and Spooner Company. The collection comprises photographs and cabinet card images showing carved work, structural work and classic painted work, 4 boxes of notes, invoices and clippings, 8 drawers of plans and blueprints, 2 folders of ride specifications and order forms, accounts books and a library of source books showing turn of the century art used by the artists in the company.

Fairground posters printed by Taylor's of Wombwell, mainly for fairgrounds in Yorkshire, some presented by the Showmen's Guild Yorkshire Section.

This collection contains issues of ten different fairground related publications, transcriptions of taped interviews with different fairground showmen and families, related correspondence and research used for the purpose of Paul Braithwaite’s publication work. There are also small pockets of photographic images, advertising material and an obituary for Joe Fletcher.

Strips of negatives and three pages of handwritten notes about the content of the negatives, also some information on original negative sleeves, include printed and unprinted images from fairgrounds in King's Lynn, Norwich, Ealing and Northampton among other locations.
