Madin Collection
The collection comprises the papers, including many press cuttings, of Joseph Madin, Sheffield trades-unionist and Labour Party activist, and co-founder of the Sheffield Labour College, circa 1913 to 1959. The collection also includes his personal library of books and pamphlets. Other ephemera such as election pamphlets are included.

Papers from the Sheffield Educational Settlement during the period of Arnold Freeman’s wardenship (1918-55). The records are incomplete, particularly for the 1930s, but include correspondence, minute books, account books, some published material, play files and information about lectures, classes and activities at the Settlement.
