Arthur Jones Collection
The photograph library of the Friendship Circle of Showland Fans (FCFS). This collection includes material relating to famous fairs, engines and rides. As well as containing a full bound set of 'Merry-Go-Round' journals and numerous books, letters and other journals. The collection includes various catalogues and notebooks documenting the use of traction engines on the fairground.
Bill Weeks Collection
This collection contains photographs of fairgrounds and steam engines, journal articles, newspaper cuttings, correspondence and books on railways, engineering, fairgrounds and other related topics.
Circus Friends Association Collection
This collection consists of a large library of books and journals, as well as archival material including posters, programmes, photographs, films, handbills, research material, scrapbooks, original artwork and many other items of ephemera relating to British, Irish and European circuses
Harry Poole Collection
Black and white photographs of rides, engines, shows and acts as well as scrapbooks of newspaper cuttings from 'The World's Fair' including British Fairground Society Notes, 1949-1963 and scrapbooks relating to fairs, particularly in the Lancashire area.
Jack Leeson Collection
Photographs and negatives, both collected and taken by him as well as notebooks with detailed lists of every fair visited. Jack Leeson used an elaborate system of cross-referencing which match the photographs and Jack's account of the fair. Also included are letters, scrapbooks and a collection of records of fairground music and some fairground models.
Jack Wilkinson Collection
O'Connor-Toulmin Family Collection
The collection contains photographs, including early family photographs of the O'Connor family, contemporary research, journal articles and books written by Vanessa Toulmin. Also included in the collection are manuscripts and newspaper cuttings.
Orton and Spooner Collection
This collection contains a large selection of archives from the Orton and Spooner Company. The collection comprises photographs and cabinet card images showing carved work, structural work and classic painted work, 4 boxes of notes, invoices and clippings, 8 drawers of plans and blueprints, 2 folders of ride specifications and order forms, accounts books and a library of source books showing turn of the century art used by the artists in the company.
Stuart Johnstone Collection
Photographs of rides, fairgrounds, traction engines and organs taken by a number of individuals as well as detailed notebooks. His notebooks are essentially digested versions of the World's Fair and include chronological guides to fairs, machines for sale, parks, engines and families.
Testo Family Collection
This collection comprises photographs, business records, articles, correspondence, newspaper cuttings, advertising material, family research and items of personal archive related to the Testo family history in the fairground and circus
The Showmen's Guild of Great Britain Collection
The main extent of the collection contains yearbooks, meetings and minutes, correspondence and a record of day to day activities within The Showmen's Guild of Great Britain.
World's Fair Newspaper Collection
This collection consists of the complete run of The World's Fair Newspaper from 1904 to the present day. Including microfilmed copies from 1904 to 1950.
