Press and News Release publications were produced by the former Public Relations Office (PRO). For the first few years the format is simply typed pages of headings, news entries and correspondence. From 1964 a new format gave an official appearance with a printed heading of University News – Press Release, and includes the University Crest. From the early 1970’s some files include circulars, letters of interest, minutes of meetings, degree congregations and Reporter publications where articles are marked ‘not for publication’. In 1973 the name changed to News Release. By 2001 this information was available on the PRO website. The last two files contain copied web pages from the PRO and the Marketing and Communications team website. Organised in files by years and includes an index for 1971 to 2001.
