The magazine 'Thesaurus' showcased original work by students of Loughborough Training College. No. 3 (March 1960) contains a short story by Barry Hines, 'I Went to a Concert' (pp. 8-10) and No. 5 (May 1963) contains a short story by Hines entitled 'Different People', (pp. 23-25). Also includes photocopies of Hines' writing.

Handwritten and typed documents relating to 'A Question of Leadership': a discussion of the implications of the 1979 steel strike by people who were closely involved created by Barry Hines. The project may also have been known as 'The School of Hard Knocks' or 'Lessons from the Spring'.
