Photograph of Zeals House, Wiltshire. Annotated 'Zeals House, Wilts. G. Devey'. Zeals House was remodelled between 1863-1864 by Devey for William Chafyn-Grove. Following Chafyn-Grove's death his sister, Julia Chafyn-Grove, commissioned Devey to carry out a further smaller extension in 1869.

Devey was commissioned by Lieutenant Colonel Philip Smith to design the manor in the early 1870's, and his brother Revd Albert Smith commissioned a new vicarage nearby. The photograph shows a large group playing croquet on the lawn in front of the manor. Annotated 'Wendover Manor, Bucks. G. Devey'.
