The theatre play 'Napoli Milionaria' was written by Eduardo de Filippo in 1945 and was adapted into an English version written by Peter Tinniswood. The play was performed at the National Theatre, London, in 1991. It was directed by Richard Eyre and starred Sir Ian McKellen and Clare Higgins.
