Scope and Contents

This file includes documents circulated within the Rural Reconstruction Association Research Committee between 1947 and 1952, together with comments and correspondence by individual members, principally Robert Saunders, Derek R. Stuckey, Jorian Jenks and H. Grenville Hill, as well as others, such as Mrs. E. Elmitt Edwards of the Electrical Association for Women. The letters primarily relate to the preparation of the Rural Reconstruction Association’s “Progress Report 1” in February 1951, while correspondence between Saunders and Jenks makes clear their different philosophies of life and attitudes to Mosley and the Union Movement.
