Scope and Contents

Scene in the Covent Garden, the church on the left. A pretty flower-girl, her basket on her arm, holds a nosegay in each hand, acosting (?) a Persian, who is curiously dressed in a long furred gown, with a high hat, and slippers on bare feet. He holds a rod or (?) a taper. Behind (left) a flower seller sits beside her basket; a hawker with a basket walks past.
