Scope and Contents

Blaess writes a short letter to wish her parents and family a happy Easter. She mentions censorship - says the military authorities have opened a letter from her parents that she received, and also that she can't find any Easter cards because of the war. She speaks of flowers and is homesick. The captain is back which she is happy about. She is feeling better health wise. At her boarding house, people say she is breaking the Polish man's heart - this is not her intention. She is happy the captain is back so that she can spend time with him and not the Polish man. She hasn't seen her aunt nor Yolande. She took a day off working. She will spend Easter alone.
