The Allied Schools, 1933 - 1956
Scope and Contents
The Allied Schools was a company formed in 1934 to manage a group of Public and Independent Schools with a religious outlook founded by the Rev. P.E. Warrington, Vicar of Monkton Combe, Bath: Stowe School, Canford School, Wrekin College, Westonbirt School, Harrogate College, Lowther College, Felixstowe College, Wicken Park, and Riddlesworth Hall. Norwood was Chairman of the Allied Schools' Central Committee from 1933 to 1953, and also served as Chairman of the Governors at Wrekin College, Westonbirt School, Felixstowe College and Riddlesworth Hall.
