Biographical / Historical
George Dawson was a fair and steam enthusiast from Kendal in the Lake District, Cumbria. During his long standing interest in the travelling fairground, George was involved with various societies and preservation groups and helped organise a number of steam rallies. For many years he also looked after a fairground organ installed at a local stately home.
