Scope and Contents

Glass lantern photographs and magic lantern slides in a wooden frame showing images of the Sheffield Flood, York Exhibition of 1866 and various examples of engineering and architecture including Clifton Suspension Bridge and Lincoln Cathedral, also some hand painted scenes, jokes, topographical views and other themes. Produced by William Pumphrey of York. The slides were part of George William's magic lantern show, while the photographs were produced by him once he became a photographer.
