Scope and Contents
Black and white photograph of George Sanger's circus staff, performers and carriages in front of the big top. George Sanger is sat on the top of the carriage on the left hand side. Handwritten note under the photo (same as 178C114.187), "At Lyons, Cote d'Or, France, 1879. Note height of tent; quarter poles for side poles, providing more seating. Band Carriage, King's and Queens Tableaux, with the company and family in front, Sandy on top of King's Tableau. A month's business to capacity-two shows daily."
