Moxon Circus Performers, c1920 - 1939
Scope and Contents
Photograph of a group of circus performers with a dog standing next to a motorbike. The motorcycle has a flag marked Bros Barr (Brothers Barr). The Barr Brothers were Thomas and Charles Barr, originally miners, of Lochgelly, Fifeshire. Later billed as the Aberdonians. This is the same group who are in front of a lorry marked Moxon's Circus in a different photograph. Moxon's Circus is recorded as travelling in 1928 and 1929 in the World's Fair.
