Scope and Contents

Cabinet card studio photograph with 'Kate Holloway Mrs G Austin' written in ink on the bottom. Kate was a circus equestrian performer and the niece of 'Lord' George Sanger. She was the daughter of James Henry Holloway (wire walker, acrobat and performer at 'Lord' George Sanger's Circus) and Amelia Chapman, sister of Ellen Sanger (nee Chapman). Kate married George Austin who also performed as an equestrian with his brother Harry at 'Lord' George Sanger's Circus. The card is printed on the front with the studio name Morgan, 393 Union Street, Aberdeen.
