Scope and Contents
Photograph of a group, mainly family and performers from 'Lord' George Sanger's Circus in the park at the Grand Hall by the Sea in Margate. The people are standing over and looking into a water feature in the park, with some of the men holding fishing lines. Some men have fallen over. A number of women (including Sarah Harriet Sanger, furthest left, Yetta Schultz third and Kate Holloway fourth from left) are pointing in the background. Ellen Sanger is also furthest right in the background. The park was owned by 'Lord' George Sanger. The men in the foreground are (left to right) unknown, Holloway brother, George Austin, James Holloway, Holloway brother, unknown and unknown.
