Scope and Contents
Large collection of letters and telegrams addressed to Renee Marshall (nee Scott), mostly sent from her husband, Walter Marshall whilst he was serving with the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. The letters provide detailed descriptions of his life and experiences on the front line in the Middle East. Accompanied by some correspondence that predates their marriage and relates to travelling fairgrounds and their lives as showpeople, as well as the occasional letter from her daughter, Sandra Marshall (later Wright).
