Biography
Born in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in 1805, he was the son of a watch maker. Despite not gaining his parents approval, he first began acting in 1829. He gained notoriety for playing the elderly gentlemen in his roles like ‘Billy Lackaday’ and ‘Lubin Log’. Although his death his not listed, his memoir is featured in an edition of the “Theatrical Times” in January 1847, possibly meaning he died around that time.
