Biography

Born in Sheffield, he became well known for his performances as a clown, he became a local favourite for his clown like performances at theatres such as the ‘Theatre Royal’ and the ‘Royal Amphitheatre.’ Records suggest he performed in Australia too in his early years. He wrote an autobiography titled “Life and Adventures” in 1867.
