Biography

Born in London, he found he had a singing talent aged just seven. He entered a professional carer upon completion of his education, performing at the Free Trade Hall in Manchester. Having black origins, the Jim Crow segregation laws in America drew a personal note with him, using his protest through song. He died in 1909.
