Biography
The son of actor Edmund Kean, he made his first foray into acting in the play “Douglas”. He first gained notoriety for his portrayal as “Titus” in the play Brutus, which also featured his father. After entering the world of Shakespeare, his dark and twisted portrayal of characters such as “Hamlet”, “Richard III” and “Macbeth” gained him the persona of one of the principal tragedians of his time. He died in London, aged 57.
