Biography
Born into Royalty, Sir William became the 7th Baronet. He received his education at Eton and entered the British Army in 1842. Surprisingly, he ran out of money and not only did he have to drop out of the forces, he sold his Newtondon estate. He decided to turn to acting to raise funds, touring across England, before departing to America. He became synomous with more comic roles and regularly played female characters in burlesques. He married actress Emily saunders who became Lady Don. He died from an aneurysm of the heart in Australia.
