Biography

Dennis Mayo was a fairground enthusiast for most of his life and a member of the Fairground Association of Great Britain. He was a prolific photographer and produced and collected hundreds of fairground photographs and postcards. He was mainly interested in Oxford St Giles Fair, which constitutes the main location of his images. Dennis was a printer who worked at the Oxford University Press until his retirement. He died in around 2022 in his 80s.
