Biography

Widely regarded as one of the greatest tenors in British history, Mr Braham was born in London of Jewish parentage. Despite his parents dying when he was young, he gained considerable confidence through his vocal ability, helped by operatic singing lessons. He made his debut at the Covent Garden Theatre in 1787. His voice became nationally renowned and gained considerable wealth through it. He died in 1856.
