Biography

Melanie Lloyd is a boxing journalist and author. Her career started at as the press secretary of the Foley Amateur Boxing Club in Surrey, where she spent six years attending shows and covering hundreds of amateur fights. She has also written for the Surrey Comet, the British Boxing Board of Control Yearbook, Boxing News and Boxing Monthly. Melanie is a member of the London Ex-Boxers Association (LEBA), for which magazine she has provided copies reports and articles.

Melanie became involved in boxing after watching the Mike Tyson vs Trevor Berbick fight, which ignited her passion for the sport.

Melanie is well-known in boxing circles and over the years has created close relationships with many generations of boxers, many of which she has interviewed and researched for her books.

Melanie is the author of the Sweet Fighting Man trilogy.
