Biography

Gunnar Asplund, was a Swedish architect who was a key representative of Nordic Classicism and moernist styles. He was professor of architecture at the Royal Institute of Technology from 1931. Among Asplund's most important works are the Stockholm Public Library, the Gothernburg City Hall extension, and The Woodland Crematorium in Stockholm.
