Biography
Dr. Edward Bramley was one of the founders of the Faculty of Law at the University of Sheffield. His name first appeared in University records in 1899 when he was appointed Lecturer in Law. He became part-time Head of the Department of Law from 1900 to 1906; Dean of the Faculty of Law, 1912-1916; a member of University Council, 1912-1916 and 1932-1965; Treasurer of the University, 1941-1946; Pro-Chancellor, 1946-1951.
