Biography

Felicity Winifred Carter Coulson, who wrote under the pseudonym Emery Bonett, was born in Sheffield in 1906, daughter of the Carter family, of the firm Carter and Sons (Sheffield) Ltd., manufacturing chemists. She wrote mystery novels, radio plays, television and film scripts, both alone and in co-operation with her husband, John Hubert Arthur Coulson, who wrote under the pseudonym John Bonett. Many of the novels were published during the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s, and a number of the plays broadcast on BBC radio or television during the same period. Emery Bonett died in 1995.
