Biography

Born in 1938 in Coventry, David Dilks is a historian, the official biographer of Neville Chamberlain and author of the two-volume 'Curzon in India' and 'The Great Dominion: Winston Churchill in Canada 1900-1954'. He was for many years Professor of International History at the University of Leeds and subsequently Vice Chancellor of the University of Hull between 1991 and 1999.
