Biography

Peter Worden was an Opthalmic Optician by trade and an amateur local historian and film enthusiast from Blackburn.

Peter was married to Olwen and had three children and seven grandchildren.

Peter discovered and rescued the Michell and Kenyon film reels, currently in the BFI collection, in the basement of a building in Blackburn in 1994. He took care of the material until, realising its historic significance he donated it to the BFI.

Peter died on 19 September 2013, at Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 75 years.
