Biography

Ron was a fairground enthusiast based in Ripley. His first photographs date back to the 1960s, when he produced high quality slide images taken around Derbyshire fairs and the various steam rallies his attended. He later worked with standard printed photographs and produced a large body of work in this format. Ron was a faithful attendee of the Nottingham Goose Fair and the Ripley Charter Fair which he documented meticulously.
