Biography

The North family started operating on the British fairgrounds in 1861 and have a long history in the business. In the twenty first century they operate as North’s Funfairs, specialists in hiring traditional and vintage fairground rides, dating back to Victorian times. They provide a wide range of rides to the national and international market.

The business remains in the North family and is currently operated by descendants of J.T. North's granddaughter, Alexandra Moran. They have been presenting Kimberworth Park fair annually for many years. Alexandra’s cousin Arthur North Jnr owns a set of Dodgems and attends Firth Park fair each year. J.T. North's other grandson is William Percival, the owner of Farrar's Funfairs.

In recent history, North’s Funfairs has been owned by Benjamin North.
