Biography
The Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain (The World Festival of the Circus of Tomorrow) was established by Dominique Mauclair (1929-2017) in 1977 for La Piste, a charitable organisation that raised funds for retired and injured circus performers in financial distress. The Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain was created to organise and run a festival to support young performers who didn’t come within the circus. It provides a forum to showcase their talent in front of employers and the media.
The Festival has grown in importance over the years to become the cradle of invention and innovation in traditional circus at an international level, attracting performers, agents and directors from all over the world.
